POSITION:  Shipping Coordinator


Leader Evaporator Co. Inc. has an immediate opening at our Swanton, VT headquarters for a shipping coordinator.  This position requires excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.  As a hub of communication between Sales, Inventory Management, Production, and Customers this position will be dynamic and require an active problem solver that can think outside the box.  This position is responsible for all outbound shipping activity, including inventory and non-inventory products.  In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and all related system transactions.  As part of the day to day responsibilities, the shipping coordinator will need to respond and react to a diverse set of needs within the company and can be organized while maintaining proper documentation and protocols in all information management.  Leader Evaporator offers a full suite of benefits including quality Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance, PTO, and 401K with Employer match.  


  • Associates degree in business preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years shipping/ logistics experience.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and be detail oriented.
  • Must possess superior customer service skills.
  • Must possess very strong computer skills, using a Windows based system.


  • Adheres to the customer delivery schedules, sales order processing schedules & communicates information with Customer Service, Sales, Production Manager, and Accounting.
  • Prepares documentation for shipment to customer, returns from customers (as it relates to quality issues), all outside service shipments and returns, and returns to supplier.
  • Coordinates warehouse transfers between stores, including preparation of all transfer documentation.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always and forward purchase requests to Purchasing when necessary
  • Coordinates all trucking logistics.
  • Communicates with Production Manager to ensure timely completion of finished product.
  • Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks be familiar with and able to interpret and systematically prepare packing slips, bills of lading and other shipping related documentation prior to shipping any product.
  • Provides back up support to receiving of incoming inventory.
  • Enforces and adheres to standard operating procedures for receiving (if assisting in receiving), storing, and shipping of product.
  • Offers continuous improvement ideas on a regular basis.
  • Adheres to maintaining finished goods inventory control and accuracy.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.

This is an hourly position with pay range based on experience and qualifications.  Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:30pm, and Saturdays from February 1st through April 7th.  Flexibility to work additional hours as needed is also required.
