You have three options for fueling your evaporator: wood, oil, and gas. The best fuel to use for an evaporator depends on the circumstances in your sugar house. Here's what we recommend:

1. Wood is great for fueling for your evaporator, if you have wood readily available. 
2. If you need fuel trucked in, oil works well to fuel your evaporator. 
3. You should consider using gas if you can get it piped to your sugar house. With gas, there's no risk of running out of fuel mid-boil.
