For over 60 years, the Branon family has produced maple syrup and sold maple sugaring equipment to local communities throughout Vermont. This past year, Damian Branon turned his 40-year dream of a sugar house into reality.
The new, enlarged facility has plenty of room and houses two Leader 6x16 Freedom Pan Evaporators with CIP + Bubbler Units and Steam-Aways, five 13,000-gallon H2O storage tanks, a barrel storage room, an RO room with three Extreme HC6 machines, two 20-inch H2O filter presses, a full kitchen and family/staff quarters for overnighting. At peak, Damian will be able to output up to 400 gallons of syrup per hour, which he needs when the sap is really flowing from his 70,000 tap operation.
