Base Stack (Taper) for Leader Wood Fired Arches

Designed to specifically fit the oval cast iron collar on the back of Leader Style Wood Fired Arches. Check the collar dimensions (OD), the height of the base stack, and round stack size (diameter) to be sure of the proper base stack. Available in stainless steel.

All 36" - 72" wide Leader wood-fired arches built since 1965 (except for special orders) feature the King Collar, because of it's superior strength and design, and therefore have King base stacks.

Why Buy Stainless?
Stainless steel has a much longer life expectancy than does a galvanized smoke stack. The highly corrosive carbon buildup on the inside of a smokestack, mixed with moisture, will break down the galvanized stack, and the excessive heat generated from a maple syrup evaporator will compromise the protective galvanized coating, exposing the raw steel. This will cause rust to begin to form, and eventually, holes will develop within the smokestack. With stainless steel, this process is extremely slow because the material is not coated, and it has natural inhibitors to stop rusting and corrosion. Stainless steel stacks will last 3-5 times longer than a galvanized smoke stack.
